Alibaba's Cainiao Network recently opened its new headquarters in the core area of the Future Sci-Tech City in Hangzhou, local media outlets reported.
The new complex, which resembles a computer chip when seen from above, covers an area of 296,000 square meters and includes the Cainiao Smart Valley, an industrial office park centered around the digital supply chain, new technology, new retail, and new manufacturing.
The new headquarters is located in Yuhang district near Jinxing station of Hangzhou Metro Line 5 and the Yunxi Elevated Road, making it easy to get to and from.
The relocation marks the first major announcement from Cainiao since Alibaba's largest organizational restructuring. The company aims to leverage its new headquarters to enhance its technological capabilities and further optimize its global logistics network.
The Cainiao Smart Valley is expected to facilitate the integration of digital technologies and supply chain management, improving efficiency and transparency for the company's clients and partners. The move is also expected to boost the development of new retail and manufacturing models, which could benefit Alibaba's ecosystem in the long run.
With the new headquarters up and running, Cainiao is poised to continue expanding its global reach and enhancing its capabilities in the rapidly evolving logistics industry.
