Hangzhou launched the second batch of 233 Asian Games Youth V-Stations on May 21, bringing the total number to 521 since the initial release of the stations in April 2022.

The letter "V" stands for "volunteer" in English, indicating that the stations primarily serve as platforms for volunteer activities. "V" is also the first letter in "victory", representing the city's aspirations for the success of the Hangzhou Asian Games, Asian Para Games, and participating countries and guests.

For instance, the V-Station at the Tonglu Service Area on the Hangzhou-Qiandao Lake Highway, a busy road in the province for intercity commuting, was transformed from an information desk and incorporates features specific to the transportation industry. The station offers volunteer services such as information consultation, traffic guidance, tourist information, and emergency assistance.

It is expected that all volunteers will complete their general training by the end of July, and the 521 Asian Games Youth V-Stations will commence services on Aug 20, providing quality volunteer services to make the Games the best they can be and bolster Hangzhou's reputation as the "City of the Asian Games."
