Since 2003, Zhejiang, located in the Yangtze River Delta, has implemented a rural green revival program to overhaul the living environment of villages, which was granted the UN Environment Program's (UNEP) Champions of the Earth award in September 2018. For twenty years, the program has created thousands of beautiful villages, and fundamentally changed the face of the province's countryside.
