Fuyang district and Zhejiang University of Technology recently signed an agreement to jointly establish the ZJUT International Innovation Center, local media outlets reported.

The two sides inked a cooperation agreement back in 2016 on the ZJUT Yinhu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Institute, the first innovation and entrepreneurship public service platform in Zhejiang province that adopts a "government-university-enterprise" trinity model.

The ZJUT International Innovation Center is located in the core area of Yinhu Science and Technology City in Fuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone. With a park area of 35,000 square meters, it will serve as an extension of the ZJUT Yinhu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Institute.

The center aims to boost innovation and entrepreneurship by cultivating high-level talent cultivation, constructing research platforms, training R&D talent, and offering industrial incubation services.

During its five-year construction period, the center strives to cultivate a group of innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented enterprises that align with the industrial orientation of the Hangzhou West Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, establishing a nationally-renowned innovation and entrepreneurship center.

It is expected to create a vibrant ecosystem for technological innovation and economic growth, further enhancing the overall competitiveness of Fuyang and Hangzhou.
