The three-day "Exciting Hangzhou" National Disabled Swimming Championships came to a close at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Aquatic Sports Arena on July 2, local media outlets reported.
A total of 225 disabled athletes from 25 teams across the country showcased their tenacity and determination.
The organizers prepared crafted award bouquets called "Light of Life" for each deserving athlete, handcrafted by disabled florists, symbolizing the belief that every individual's life can shine brilliantly.
The national championships served as a platform for disabled athletes to exhibit their skills, spirit, and passion for swimming. The event not only showcased their incredible athletic abilities but also promoted inclusivity and equal opportunity in sports.
As Hangzhou continues to prepare for the upcoming Asian Para Games, the city's commitment to hosting inclusive and barrier-free sporting events is shining through.
