After more than a month of careful sowing and cultivation, a colorful rice paddy featuring images related to the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games appeared in the farmlands of Zhoufu village, Shuangpu town, Xihu district.
The entire artwork covers an area of about 3.3 hectares, with each of the three Asian Games mascots occupying nearly 0.53 ha, created by four different colored rice varieties – white, purple, green, and yellow.
As the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games approach, the colored rice will grow denser, showcasing more visually stunning and captivating artworks.
The artwork not only showcases the creativity and artistic vision of the agricultural experts involved but also reflects the pride and enthusiasm of the local community in hosting the prestigious Asian Games.
In addition to being a visual spectacle, the work also highlights the importance of agriculture and its close connection to the Hangzhou Asian Games. By incorporating traditional farming practices into a modern artistic expression, the artwork pays homage to Hangzhou's rich cultural heritage and its ability to seamlessly blend tradition with innovation.
