A knowledge contest for the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games took place on the evening of Sept 12, local media outlets reported.

Teams from 16 groups, representing Hangzhou's 13 districts, government agencies, schools, and State-owned enterprises, engaged in fierce competition. In the end, the teams on behalf of Hangzhou's State-owned enterprises, Yuhang district and Jiande city emerged as the champions, runners-up, and third-place winners, respectively.

Wen Xiaodong, a participant from the Yuhang team, said "I love sports, and I have always been interested in the knowledge of the Hangzhou Asian Games. While athletes are giving their all on the field, we also want to showcase the charm of the host city. We hope the Hangzhou Asian Games will be a great success!"

Contestants in the competition come from various backgrounds and age groups. Some teamed up with their families to answer questions, while others, with their colleagues, made daily progress in tackling the questions, incorporating the learning of Asian Games knowledge into their daily work and life.

Since its launch on Aug 1, the Games knowledge contest has taken various forms, including online quizzes and offline fun competitions. The focus has been on Asian Games knowledge, Asian Games culture, and spectator etiquette. The contest has blended knowledge, fun, interactivity, and has been promoted through multi-dimensional initiatives.

Statistics show that in just one month, nearly 10 million people participated in the online quizzes and competitions. Many participants took the opportunity to leave heartfelt blessings for the Hangzhou Asian Games online.
