In Hangzhou, the tradition of walking for luck is a cherished new year ritual among locals.

Embracing this tradition, the New Year Blessing and Walking Festival has returned to the banks of the Grand Canal, bringing vibrant celebrations to Hangzhou on Jan 1 and creating a memorable experience for all who joined.

People gathered by the historic waterway, measuring the city's progress with every step and ushering in the new year with joy.

Titled "Soaring Dragon, Great Fortune – Walk for Good Luck", this year's festival was held along the millennium-old Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

The route not only offered picturesque views of the canal, but also featured diverse booths showcasing and selling high-quality products. Participants had the opportunity to explore and capture many beautiful sights along the way.
