A mobile charging vehicle went on duty at the Jinyin Lane parking lot in Hangzhou's Yuhang district on Jan 12, providing charging services to those in need.
The vehicle was deployed to help new energy vehicle owners in the vicinity find charging piles for their cars.
Users can place an order for charging through a mobile app. The charging vehicle, with about 140 degrees of power, will be directed by operators to the vehicles in need of charging. A single charging session can fill up around three vehicles, functioning like a mobile power bank.
In the future, the charging vehicle will be able to use autonomous driving features to locate vehicles that have requested its services.
Officials from the Yuhang urban management bureau said that the charging vehicle has received much positive feedback since its trial operation began. They will continue to make efforts to deploy more mobile charging vehicles.
