The inauguration ceremony for the Turing Town AIGC Smart Computing Center took place in Qianjiang New City, Xiaoshan district on Jan 25.

The smart computing center is the core infrastructure of the Turing Town AIGC Innovation Center. The first phase has a computing capacity of 808 petaflops (FP16) and will provide services such as the rental of bare-metal smart computing servers, cloud smart computing services, and large-scale model services to enterprises, research institutions, and universities across the country.

As a vital hub for the AI industry, the computing power platform is emerging as the sixth major piece of infrastructure following water, electricity, gas, roads, and the internet.

In the future, Turing Town plans to create a new model for the development of the AI industry, where the government facilitates, leading enterprises form chains, companies along the industrial chain collaborate, and innovative application cases continually emerge.

At the event, a ceremony was jointly held by 10 companies, funds, and laboratories, marking them as the first enterprises to be based in the town.

Turing Town lies at the heart of Qianjiang New City in Xiaoshan district, with a planned area of 3.25 square kilometers. As a provincial characteristic town, it focuses on building an industrial ecosystem led by AI.

In August of last year, Xiaoshan district signed an agreement with New H3C Group to jointly build Turing Town in Qianjiang New City. Through government-enterprise collaboration, they plan to develop the town into a nationally-renowned pioneer of the AIGC industry.
