The detailed plan for the High-speed Rail New City in Qiantang district, Hangzhou has been released recently, covering a total area of 28.36 square kilometers with a planned population of 142,000.

According to the plan, the city will be developed around the Qiantang High-speed Rail Station, aiming to create an internationalized city integrating smart manufacturing services, high-quality living spaces, and seamless integration with the rail station.

The city will not only meet transportation needs but also serve as a comprehensive functional area. Specifically, it will adopt a layout structure of "one belt, two cores, two axes, and four zones".

The "one belt" refers to the Nansha Ecological Green Belt, while the "two cores" include the gateway core and the ecological green core. Additionally, there are the "two axes" represented by Hejing Road and Xinwan Road, and four development zones, including the integrated development zone around the station and the innovation industry development zone.

Moreover, the city will inject new vitality into the Qiantang district by attracting enterprises' headquarters and promoting the development of commercial services and industrial offices. It will also focus on providing residential spaces, such as creating low-cost, high-quality youth communities.

The area will be equipped with 16 kindergartens, seven primary schools, four middle schools, four high schools, and two K-12 schools. There will also be one comprehensive hospital and one community health service center. The area will also have a backbone road network and four subway lines, including Line 19 and Line 8.
