The Hangzhou Citizen Card recently integrated with Alipay, enabling users to make payments by scanning Alipay merchant QR codes using the Hangzhou Citizen Card App.

The Hangzhou Citizen Card is the latest payment institution to achieve barcode interoperability with Alipay, following Telecom's and China Mobile's mobile payments. It is also the first local State-owned payment institution to participate in the connectivity project.

The integration offers Hangzhou Citizen Card users a more flexible and convenient payment experience by allowing them to use their app to pay at Alipay-accepting merchants.

As a third-party payment institution under Hangzhou Financial Investment Group, the Hangzhou Citizen Card is continuously improving its payment services to provide comprehensive, localized convenience to Hangzhou residents.

Alongside services like smart transportation, healthcare, convenient parking, and smart community dining for the elderly, the Hangzhou Citizen Card has introduced several new payment measures this year. These include partnerships with Meituan and Dianping to enable payments via the card on the Dianping app, the launch of an offline QR code payment service for prepaid card users and upgrading POS machines to support both card and barcode payments.
