The five-day Sixth China International Tea Expo concluded at the Hangzhou International Expo Center on May 21.

This year's expo showcased a comprehensive range of tea-related products, from the six major types of tea (red, green, blue, yellow, black, and white) to tea utensils, tea apparel, packaging machinery, tea technology, and creative new tea beverages. The bustling event highlighted the thriving modern tea industry, with enthusiasts gathering for tastings, discussions, and trade negotiations.

Statistics reveal that the expo attracted 169,000 visitors and facilitated on-site tea transactions exceeding 194 metric tons, with a total transaction value of 243 million yuan ($33.5 million). Additionally, 20,940 orders were signed, with an intended transaction volume of 5,402 tons and intended transaction value surpassing 4.70 billion yuan.

As the only national-level professional tea exhibition in China, the expo has been held in Hangzhou since 2017. It is the most authoritative, large-scale, and influential tea event in the world.

This year marked the beginning of the expo's market-oriented operations, with an expanded scale featuring a 60,000-square-meter exhibition area and 2,700 international standard booths. The expo attracted over 800 high-quality exhibitors from countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Rwanda, and China's Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
