Hangzhouxi Railway Station, situated on the western edge of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, is a crucial node in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The hub offers various transport choices including high-speed rail, subway, buses, coaches, taxis, and ride-hailing services.
Since its commissioning on September 22, 2022, the total passenger flow at Hangzhouxi has hit 13.51 million. Its railways connect to 24 provinces, 151 cities, and 324 stations, including 24 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, according to Jiang Yinghao, deputy director of the management committee of the station.
The station has dedicated itself to the integration of talent flow with transportation hubs, streamlining the movement and concentration of skilled individuals.
Talent service stations have been established to provide convenient services such as rest and working areas and ticket reminders, serving talents on over 1,400 instances, according to Jiang.
The railway station also offers spaces for talent visits, business negotiations, and knowledge sharing, with over 20 training sessions and events engaging more than 2,000 participants this year.
Earlier this year, a special train carried over 120 university students from four key universities in Nanjing, Jiangsu province to take part in recruitment without leaving the station.
At points such as the exits, taxi stands, and waiting areas for ride-hailing services, a digital 24-hour self-service recruitment platform has been set up. Currently, it displays over 8,000 positions from more than 900 companies, with over 9,000 resume submissions.
It is expected that the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway will be fully operational in August, with the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway also commencing operations by the end of the year.
Officials are anticipating a significant increase in railway passenger traffic as a result. "We are working to convert passenger flow into economy flow," added Jiang.
