The ongoing 20th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, has brought a vibrant mix of classic anime nostalgia and interactive experiences for fans to immerse themselves in.
To mark its 20th anniversary, the festival has introduced a gamer center, offering activities such as badge collection and creative stamp design. Participants can engage in designated tasks at the booths and have the chance to draw badges representing the festival's top 10 brands.
With nearly 300 intellectual properties (IPs) showcased across the six bustling pavilions, the Chinese anime IPs stand apart. For instance, characters like Su Dongpo, a famous poet in the Song dynasty (960-1279) interact with anime fans, offering gifts and the opportunity to experience a glasses-free 3D installation showcasing the Story of Su Dongpo and Hangzhou.
Notably, the festival has seen cosplay enthusiasts dressed as Chinese anime characters roaming the pavilions, captivating onlookers with their impressive costumes.
At the Netease Blockchain booth, a smart creative machine has caught the eye of many attendees. Equipped with AI models and blockchain certification features, it was recently introduced at the Hangzhou Zoo during the May Day holiday, allowing visitors to create unique souvenirs like zookeeper certificates by simply taking a photo.
