The first International Youth Poetry Festival – Special Session for BRICS countries will commence tonight in Hangzhou. The event has attracted more than 70 influential young poets from 10 countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Iran, and Ethiopia.
From July 18 to 24, 49 poets from these countries will participate in the festival alongside 23 Chinese poets. The event aims to enhance international connections among poets, promote the growth of young poets worldwide, and deepen their understanding of traditional and contemporary Chinese culture. Activities include forums, poetry readings, and cultural visits.
