The 2024 Indonesia Digital Transformation Expo opened in Jakarta on July 31, becoming China's first-ever self-organized overseas digital technology exhibition.

The two-day expo attracted over 100 leading digital technology companies from China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Germany, and Canada, with international exhibitors making up more than 60 percent of the participants. Renowned Chinese companies such as Huawei, ZTE, and Alibaba Cloud were among the key exhibitors.

Roughly 10,000 professional visitors attended the event, including representatives from over 30 government agencies and national associations like Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the Indonesian Telecommunication Information Technology Society. They focused on procuring new technologies and products in digital management, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and enterprise solutions.

The expo also offered an opportunity for dialogue between companies and customers. At the Fonda Tech booth, chairman Song Hongwei introduced new IoT-enabled lighting products aimed at urban energy savings, while gathering feedback from potential clients. "Having been in Indonesia for 10 years, this exhibition offers a great platform for market research," he said.

The event also features over 50 professional forums and meetings on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, discussing the latest trends and innovations in the digital technology sector.

China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years, with the two countries engaged in extensive cooperation in telecommunications, cloud computing, internet, and digital economy. Indonesia's demand for digital transformation is high, making China a key supplier in the digital technology sector.
