Hangzhou recently gave birth to the first company to develop zero magnetic field therapy devices. This is because it considers the manufacturing of zero magnetic medical equipment a future industry and necessary for the development of new quality productive forces.

A promotional event for zero magnetic medical equipment was held in Hangzhou on Aug 20. During the event, Hangzhou Lingci Medical Equipment Co was launched by Beihang University and Hangzhou Hi-tech Venture Capital Investment Group. The company currently has an annual production capacity of 100 units.

Fang Jiancheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at Beihang University, said that the Hangzhou Institute of Extremely-Weak Magnetic Field Major National Science and Technology Infrastructure, established last year, has now gathered nearly 400 full-time professionals and is accelerating the development of key technologies.

Construction on the main body of the ultra-low magnetic field facility is set to commence by the end of this year.

Zero magnetic medical equipment has already been deployed in pre-clinical research in provinces such as Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong. The recognition rate for acute myocardial infarction has reached 91 percent among all clinical case studies. This signifies a potential breakthrough in the early rapid diagnosis of major diseases such as acute myocardial infarction, contributing Chinese solutions to global major disease diagnosis and treatment.

Hangzhou will continue to actively encourage and arrange for medical institutions to participate in the expanded application of zero magnetic medical equipment.
