The local specialty promotion event for the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival Autumn Consumption Season took place in Lin'an, a mountainous district of Hangzhou, on Nov 8.
With an exhibition area of roughly 33,000 square meters, the event attracted more than 560 exhibitors from over 220 counties across the country, presenting nearly 4,000 varieties of local specialties.
The garlic grown at an altitude of 1,500 meters in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region stood out as the trendiest offering. Lin'an's own local specialty products also shone brightly at the event, with 26 local enterprises presenting over 30 varieties of agricultural products, including mountain walnuts, hand-peeled bamboo shoots, and dried tofu.
