The 2nd Liangzhu Forum hosted an international dialogue among writers on Nov 25-26 at the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, a site which serves as a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization. The event brought together over 120 writers and scholars from more than 30 countries and regions.

Participants explored topics such as the intersection of global and traditional cultures, urban literature, children's literature, and the mutual influence of sci-fi and online literature. Sessions included discussions on Silk Road civilizations and Chinese-Arabic poetry, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and innovation.

Renowned Chinese author Chen Yan emphasized the deep connection between literature and civilization, encouraging people to seek inspiration from historical works as a way to address modern cultural challenges. Qiu Huadong, vice-chair of the China Writers Association, highlighted literature's unique ability to transcend geographical barriers and resonate universally.

International guests, including Argentinian author Ana Maria Shua and Mexican poet Rogelio Guedea, shared their admiration for Chinese literature, noting its emotional depth and cultural influence. French author Eduardo Berti reflected on how Chinese history and culture inspired his novels and underscored the importance of blending diverse cultural perspectives.

The Liangzhu Forum demonstrated how literature can bridge cultural divides, creating shared narratives that celebrate human creativity and connection.
