The 2024 BWF World Tour Finals begin on Dec 11, with Team China securing nine entries across all five disciplines. On Dec 10, the final day of preparations, the national team held two training sessions to make a final push for the event.

In women's singles, Wang Zhiyi faces Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan in her opening match. Competing in her first-ever finals, Wang expressed excitement and determination. "There are many unknowns in this tournament, but I'll prepare like I always do," she said.

Meanwhile, Han Yue has been placed in the challenging Group B, facing Japan's Akane Yamaguchi and Olympic champion An Se-young. Dubbed the "Group of Death", Han acknowledged the steep challenge but welcomed the opportunity to engage in some high-stakes matches.

In contrast, women's doubles duo Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan are taking a more relaxed approach. The finals mark their first tournament as Olympic champions and their return to the court as a pair since Paris. They open against Japan's Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi.

In men's singles, Shi Yuqi will take on Indonesia's Jonatan Christie, while Li Shifeng, a late replacement for Viktor Axelsen, faces Denmark's Anders Antonsen. Mixed doubles features an all-China clash between Jiang Zhenbang/Wei Yaxin and Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong, while men's doubles pair He Jiting/Ren Xiangyu will square off against Malaysia's Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.

With strong representation across the board, Team China is poised to make its mark at the 2024 BWF World Tour Finals.
