In just three years, Hangzhou's "Little Brother Academy" has helped 130 delivery workers and drivers receive higher education, transforming their career paths and enhancing their lives.

Established in 2021 by Xixi subdistrict of Xihu district and Zhejiang Open University, the academy addresses barriers such as time and financial constraints by offering flexible schedules, tuition subsidies, and tailored courses like business management and accounting.

Success stories include Wu Chao, a delivery driver who earned a bachelor's degree and went on to lead an award-winning innovation project, and Xiao Chen, a courier who applied what he learned at school to optimize delivery routes. Additional programs, like the "Three New Academy", teach practical skills such as video editing and live-streaming, helping workers expand their opportunities.

Beyond education, the academy builds community connections, with students volunteering in local initiatives. As more workers join, the academy is becoming a vital resource for new employment groups, helping them to thrive and integrate into city life.

Looking ahead, Xixi subdistrict plans to expand the academy's reach, improve services, and enhance governance to support every worker on their journey toward self-fulfillment in Hangzhou.
