In the first week after the Spring Festival holiday, 137 Hangzhou-based companies kicked off a large-scale recruitment campaign, heading to provinces like Sichuan, Henan, Guizhou, and Yunnan to attract new workers.
The initiative aims to fill nearly 20,000 job openings across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and hospitality, with some positions offering monthly salaries exceeding 12,000 yuan ($1,647).
Led by Hangzhou's human resources department, recruitment teams from major employers like SF Express, Wahaha, and Gree are conducting 15 job fairs in various cities. Some companies offer free accommodation, childcare services, and relocation support to attract talent.
The effort is part of the "Spring Breeze Jobs, Thriving Hangzhou" initiative, which will host over 40 out-of-town recruitment events by the end of March. With Hangzhou's growing demand for skilled labor, the city is strengthening ties with labor-rich regions to ensure a steady workforce supply.
