Zhejiang Zhongtian Steel Structure Co's solar power station on Feb 26 saw the launch of a new solar panel cleaning robot, developed by Zhejiang Dayou Group's Lin'an branch.

The robot efficiently removed dust, bird droppings and other debris from the panel surfaces of the power plant, located in Hangzhou – capital of East China's Zhejiang province.

Following the clean, the station's energy output is expected to increase by 5-10 percent, improving the conversion efficiency of the solar panels and supporting the company's green energy production.

The innovation is said to represent a key step in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of Hangzhou's renewable energy sector.
