Zhejiang Post Telecommunication Construction Co, a subsidiary of the State-owned China Communications Services Corporation Limited – or China Comservice – is playing a key role in Saudi Arabia's infrastructure boom, local media outlets reported.

The contractor – based in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province – has laid over 200,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables, which is enough to stretch from Riyadh to Beijing and back.

The company has also erected over 20,000 5G towers and installed 2.8 million smart meters, making Saudi Arabia the most advanced telecom hub in the Middle East.

Active in Saudi Arabia for 20 years, Zhejiang Post Telecommunication Construction Co has secured major contracts, including a Tier 4 data center and a 2.6-gigawatt solar project. At the recent LEAP Tech Expo, the biggest tech event in the Middle East, the group signed a strategic deal with Saudi Telecom to expand into smart cities, low-orbit satellites and 5G applications.

Now a trusted partner for Chinese firms expanding into the Middle East, the company is helping businesses navigate local laws, contracts and logistics. With over 2,000 employees across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman, it is driving China's digital and green infrastructure further into the region.
