Hangzhou welcomed 6.67 million visitors during the Qingming Festival holiday, a 69.2 percent year-on-year increase, driven by vibrant cultural and outdoor experiences, according to the city's culture and tourism bureau.
Daytime flower-viewing and countryside tours combined with nighttime concerts and performances sparked new travel trends such as "village tourism" and "day tours, night shows". Popular attractions included Xixi Wetland's Song Dynasty (960-1279) themed flower parade, Taiziwan Park's tulip festival, and rural events in Jiande and Yuhang.
The city also hosted three major concerts, including Imagine Dragons' world tour and a hip-hop show, drawing nearly 110,000 attendees – 65 percent from outside Hangzhou.
Online travel platforms reported a 22 percent rise in bookings, with most visitors coming from Shanghai, Beijing, and nearby cities.
