China's first commercial aerospace supply platform will be unveiled at the upcoming Zhejiang Commercial Aerospace Industry Development Promotion Conference, where Hangzhou is set to sign a strategic partnership agreement with the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST).

CAST's Hangzhou Center, located in Cloud Town, a leading industrial center for the internet "cloud ecology", commenced operation five years ago.

After 57 years of development, CAST has become one a world-class spacecraft designer and manufacturer, providing a full range of integrated space-ground system solutions for global customers.

The commercial aerospace supply platform to be launched is a quality-oriented centralized supply platform for commercial aerospace products developed by CAST. It serves as an important testing ground for sharing mature products and technologies, building a window for commercial aerospace supply and demand, and creating a healthy and secure space industry ecosystem.

By creating a "supermarket" for the entire industrial chain of commercial satellites and components, the platform facilitates online transactions of satellite payload products, core component products, and key technologies, thereby promoting the standardization, modularization, intelligence, and digitization of Chinese commercial aerospace technologies and further advancing the development of the commercial aerospace supply chain.

Experts have said that the platform is capable of meeting users' one-stop procurement needs. Functions such as component testing and environmental testing, to be introduced in the future, can reduce the research and development and manufacturing costs of satellite companies, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
