Museum management training brings dialogue among civilizations

The international course on Strategies and Tools for Museum Management was held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, from April 14 to 25.
The training program aimed to enhance the comprehensive management capabilities of museums across Asia, strengthen the exchange of experiences in cultural heritage preservations, and actively promote international cooperation in culture.
The 12-day training program brought together 37 participants from nearly 30 countries and regions worldwide, along with 18 top experts. Through specialized lectures, case studies, and field visits, the training involves cutting-edge topics such as museum risk assessment, digital heritage preservation, collection management, and international cooperation.
China contributed its Chinese wisdom and shared its Chinese experience in promoting the sustainable development of museums and cultural conservation during this training program.
On April 22, participants visited the Key Scientific Research Base of Textile Conservation located within the China National Silk Museum. They observed the techniques demonstrated by the workers there of using a needle and thread to restore silk relics, experiencing the application of advanced equipment in cultural preservation.
The training program not only enriched the knowledge and skills of participants but also fostered a deeper sense of collaboration and mutual learning among cultural professionals from around the world.
