Hangzhou's Chun'an county has been recognized as a 2024 model case for rural passenger-freight-post integration by Zhejiang's Department of Transport and Postal Administration.

As Zhejiang's largest county by area, Chun'an encompasses 337 villages across mountainous and reservoir regions. In the past, 40 percent of packages were unable to reach remote villages due to scattered settlements and limited access, despite the fact that they were already being served by passenger buses.

To solve the rural "last-mile" delivery challenge, Chun'an launched the "Chun Cun Da" logistics brand. It built a county-wide network featuring two county-level distribution centers, 12 township service stations, and full village-level service coverage. Now, same-day delivery is available across the county.

Chun'an has also designated premium village service sites to integrate express delivery, local product sales, and tourism. The move boosts both delivery efficiency and rural income.

In 2024, the county handled over 11.21 million incoming parcels, a 37.6 percent year-on-year increase, and 1.39 million outgoing parcels, up 50 percent, generating 13 million yuan ($1.8 million) in agricultural sales.

As Chun'an residents and tourists alike now travel by bus alongside parcels and produce, the path to rural revitalization is becoming faster — and more connected — than ever.
