East China's Zhejiang province is staging over 2,400 events during the May Day holiday, from May 1 to May 5, featuring markets, music, sports, and cultural heritage activities.

To treat locals and tourists, the province has also rolled out 340 travel perks, including 13 culture and tourism vouchers, 118 dining and lodging discounts, 95 ticket deals, and 114 themed promotions.

Unveiled in Wenzhou on April 28, the week-long celebration includes everything from qipao dances on fishing docks to retro movie nights in Ningbo's Laowaitan. Visitors can follow one of nine themed travel routes or hop aboard 13 river and lake tours.

A representative from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism said the initiative focuses on blending culture and tourism through new experiences, products, and perks, all designed to boost holiday spending and regional travel.
