Emirates Airline to launch daily non-stop flights between Dubai, Hangzhou from July 30
Emirates Airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced Tuesday that it will launch a new daily non-stop flight between Dubai and Hangzhou starting July 30, marking its fifth destination in the Chinese mainland after Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
In a statement, the airline said that from July 30 onwards, it will operate 49 weekly flights to the Chinese mainland. These include two daily flights to both Beijing and Shanghai, daily service to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and the newly announced daily service to Hangzhou.
The airline noted that this continued expansion of its service in the Chinese mainland reflects the deepening ties between the UAE and China, and underscores Emirates' strong commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative.
This new Dubai-Hangzhou route represents "a pivotal milestone in our operations" across the Chinese mainland and East Asia as a whole, said Adnan Kazim, Emirates' deputy president and chief commercial officer.
"Hangzhou, as a rising global hub for innovation, e-commerce, and advanced industries, will open up fresh opportunities for both our passenger and cargo services. It will further stimulate vital economic and technological exchanges between the Middle East and China," Kazim added.
