Czech university delegation visits Chinese school

A delegation from the University of Finance and Administration in Prague, Czech Republic, visited China Jiliang University, its Chinese partner university on May 14 to deepen academic and cultural collaboration.
The delegation included Vice-Chair of the Board Emil Senkyr and Vice-Rector Petr Budinsky. They were warmly received by Vice-President Wang Binrui.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as the development of the Confucius Institute, student exchanges, academic collaboration, and interdisciplinary programs. Wang highlighted the close partnership between the two institutions since jointly establishing the Confucius Institute in 2018. He praised the institute's progress in promoting Chinese language and culture in the Czech Republic and expressed hope for expanded cooperation in joint degree programs and talent cultivation.
Petr Budinsky expressed enthusiasm for expanding summer camp programs and enriching student interactions, while Emil Senkyr reiterated the school's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and building a more practical and resilient partnership.
Faculty representatives from both universities discussed joint PhD programs, academic credits recognition, faculty and student mobility, and multidisciplinary cooperation. They also talked about future teacher and volunteer dispatch plans for the Confucius Institute.
The visit resulted in a new consensus on the Confucius Institute and expanded collaborative prospects in interdisciplinary education, reinforcing mutual trust and injecting fresh momentum into China-Czech higher education cooperation.
