The fifth session of the 14th Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress concluded at the Zhejiang People's Great Hall on May 25.

During the session, deputies elected Ji Junmin as director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, along with three deputy directors and other key officials. Tang Xuebing was elected president of the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court, while the 2025 municipal livelihood projects were also approved.

Deputies reviewed and adopted multiple motions, including the government work report, economic and social development plans, budget executions, and institutional appointments. The newly passed Hangzhou Ecological Civilization Capital Construction Regulations will be submitted to the provincial legislature for approval.

Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Member and Hangzhou Party Secretary Liu Fei praised the congress and called for united efforts to implement the goals set during the meeting. He emphasized the importance of upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China and advancing high-quality development and modernization.

Ji pledged to fulfill his new role with integrity and dedication, vowing to promote people-centered governance and contribute to building a world-class modern socialist metropolis.
