The 4th session of the 12th Hangzhou municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded on May 24 at the Zhejiang Great Hall of the People.

Over the course of the session, members reviewed proposals, adopted resolutions, and held elections for new leadership positions, including one vice-chairperson and three standing committee members.

Liu Fei, member of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Party secretary of Hangzhou, praised the session as a model of unity and democratic deliberation. He urged all participants to remain committed to the "Double-Eight Strategy" and contribute actively to the city's high-quality development and common prosperity goals, especially as 2025 marks the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the beginning of the 15th.

CPPCC Hangzhou Chairman Ma Weiguang called on members to strengthen political guidance, enhance democratic consultation, and focus on improving people's livelihoods. He emphasized the need for practical efforts and innovative thinking to support Hangzhou's ambition to become a world-class modern socialist city.

The session concluded with the national anthem, marking a determined step forward in Hangzhou's journey of reform, innovation, and inclusive growth.
