Hangzhou athletes Wang Zifei and Sun Yujie have both achieved remarkable three-peat victories at the ISSF Shooting World Cup 2025 in Munich, Germany.

On June 10, 18-year-old Wang Zifei clinched gold in the women's 10-meter air rifle, edging out her South Korean rival by just 0.1 point with a score of 252.7. She also broke the qualification world record with 637.9 points — surpassing the world, youth, and national records. This is her third gold in a row, following victories in Argentina and Peru.

Just a day later, 21-year-old Sun Yujie triumphed in the women's 25-m pistol, scoring 38 hits in the final to beat two Olympic champions. Qualifying in 8th place, she relied on her strong rapid-fire performance to secure the win — also completing a World Cup three-peat.

Both athletes trained at Fuchun No 3 Primary School in Hangzhou's Fuyang district, where their coach Ye Kailun proudly watched his former students make history. "It feels like a dream," he said.

Wang and Sun's victories not only spotlight Hangzhou's rising talent but also boost China's hopes in women's shooting ahead of the Los Angeles Olympics.
