The Hangzhou International Android and Robot Technology Exhibition 2025 — the first professional exhibition in China dedicated to the full humanoid robot industry chain — concluded on June 22.

More than 300 companies showcased cutting-edge technologies and innovative products, attracting business delegations from across China. On-site, manufacturers and tech firms explored potential collaborations, with humanoid robots playing the role of matchmaker.

Vendors demonstrated robot hands, priced at 20,000 yuan ($2,786) to 35,000 yuan, capable of second-level development and precise assembly for electronics and medical devices. Meanwhile, high-tech control systems from Shandong enable synchronized operation of up to 40 robots in firefighting and emergency scenarios.

The rise of humanoid robots is driving rapid growth in component sectors. For instance, a Wuxi-based company producing integrated joint modules reported a triple jump in business over three years. Their products — more flexible than human arms — now support over 200 industrial use cases.

As of May 2025, China is home to nearly 900,000 robot-related enterprises. With AI, advanced manufacturing, and new materials converging, humanoid robots are poised to become the next trillion-yuan disruptive technology — following the path of computers, smartphones, and electric vehicles.
