The world's first mass-produced consumer-grade AI+AR glasses — Rokid Glasses — rolled off the production line at Lens Technology’s plant in Xiangtan, Hunan province, on June 24, marking a major breakthrough in China’s AR industry.

Co-developed by Hangzhou-based tech startup Rokid and Lens Technology, the glasses have already secured 250,000 global pre-orders.

Weighing just 49 grams, Rokid Glasses deliver an immersive AR experience with built-in AI capabilities including real-time translation, intelligent prompting, object recognition, and more. The product integrates several major AI models and supports seamless hardware-software interaction.

This milestone signals China's entry into large-scale commercialization of AI glasses. Rokid and Lens Technology’s collaboration — spanning design, manufacturing, and software ecosystems — aims to drive innovation across sectors such as healthcare, education, and tourism. As AR markets accelerate toward trillion-yuan potential, Rokid Glasses are set to lead the next wave of smart wearable tech.
