Hangzhou launched the first-ever 2025 Global Young Entrepreneurs Assembly, or the Wulin Conference, on June 25, drawing nearly 1,000 young innovators and ecosystem partners from home and abroad.
Highlights included the release of the China Youth Entrepreneurship Index Report and Hangzhou's Top 100 Student Startups, as well as the debut of "golden alliance tokens" for top entrepreneurial allies.
From Silicon Valley to Hangzhou, XR gaming, AI drones, medical diagnostics, and smart aquaculture were among the spotlighted innovations. One student team developed AI-powered cervical cancer screening tools, while another created automated crab-sorting equipment — all reflecting youth-driven passion and technical strength.
Held at the Alibaba Digital Innovation Park, the event showcased Hangzhou's vibrant innovation rainforest, offering modern workspaces, project platforms, and startup support. The conference is an evolution of Hangzhou's college startup competition, which now draws over 5,000 projects from more than 1,600 universities worldwide.
With creativity at its core, Hangzhou continues to be a magnet for young entrepreneurs rewriting the future.
