A delegation of six high-level Indonesian buyers recently concluded a four-day tour of Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
Representing major government and private-sector organizations, including Indonesia's Remote Telecommunication Association and the state-owned systems integrator SISI, the buyers met with over 350 Chinese companies through five industry matchmaking sessions and visited prominent firms like TCL and QG Plan.
The tour focused on smart city solutions, AI, IoT, and digital infrastructure. Delegates showed strong interest in China's cost-effective, ready-to-deploy technologies to aid Indonesia's digital transformation and the development of its new capital, Nusantara.
Teguh Prasetya, head of Indonesia's AI and Big Data Industry Committee, detailed procurement needs in smart energy, transportation, and cloud systems. He commended Hangzhou's innovation ecosystem and confirmed participation in the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo this fall.
This initiative highlights the growing China-Indonesia relationship in digital trade. As China's largest trading partner in ASEAN, Indonesia is accelerating its digital economy, which is expected to reach $146 billion by 2025, opening new avenues for collaboration.
With digital trade reshaping global commerce, Hangzhou is becoming an important hub in the global digital economy.
