East China's Zhejiang province has unveiled its first one-stop platform for foreign cross-border e-commerce talent — addressing the region's shortage of international livestreaming hosts, local media outlets reported.
Launched by the provincial capital Hangzhou's Binjiang district public security bureau and commerce bureau, the platform streamlines talent recruitment, visa services and job matching entirely online.
In just two months, Russian host Sergei joined Binjiang-based company Merach through the platform and generated over $60,000 in sales during a single livestreaming session.
Companies previously struggled with time-consuming hiring processes and limited on-site talent certification rounds held only twice a year. Now, with online processing via the Zhejiang Government Service Network, talent certification times have been slashed by 70 percent, with approvals in as little as a month.
Since its trial launch in March, the platform has facilitated 11 port visa issuances, 10 internship visa endorsements and over 20 talent recognitions, helping more than 40 foreign students secure job offers.
Officials say the platform will expand further, paving the way for a broader rollout across Zhejiang.
