With summer peak travel surging, the Hangzhouxi Railway Station, also known as the Hangzhou West Railway Station, has fully revamped its free overnight passenger lounge to offer hotel-like comfort.

The upgraded facility now features single beds with privacy curtains, showers, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, charging outlets, TVs and drinking water — all free of charge.

Inspired by high-speed train sleeper designs, each berth — single beds instead of recliners — now has a partition and curtain for privacy, plus power outlets, a reading light, storage net, hooks, and an emergency call button for added safety.

A dedicated lounge for key travelers — including mothers with babies, seniors and passengers with disabilities — is also available, equipped with a bed, wall-mounted baby safety seat, counter and help button.

To address shower difficulties during the summer, two new separate male/female shower rooms with hot water, shower heads, toiletries, hair dryers and lockers have been installed. Additional amenities include blood pressure monitors, first-aid kits, hot/cold drinking water and charging stations.

The lounge is monitored by on-site staff to ensure passenger safety and security, making it a cozy and worry-free resting spot for travelers.
