A company from Hangzhou — capital of East China's Zhejiang province — really shone at the biggest-ever annual summit for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or SCO, which recently ended in Tianjin city, local media reported.

Boasting the largest session in the organization's history, this year's event was held at the Meijiang Convention Center — the main venue — with its landmark lighting designed by Hangzhou-based intelligent lighting manufacturer Roleds Technology Co.

With the help of Roleds, now as night falls, bathed in golden hues, the venue's facade is said to reflect both cultural depth and national vitality. Subtle detailing brings out elegance — the streamlined rooftop, softly illuminated, is designed to evoke the flow of a quiet river.

According to Wang Zhongquan, chairman of Roleds, the company chose a restrained design, highlighting structure over sheer brightness.

"This creates brilliance without glare, beauty without excess — in line with the summit's international and high-end positioning," he added.

To achieve the effect, Roleds employed its smart lighting solutions, accompanied by high-quality LEDs — ensuring consistent colors and specialized optics that deliver uniform, soft wall lighting. Double anti-glare fixtures on the ground further enhance the visuals.

As a pioneer in smart lighting, Roleds supplies complete digital lighting solutions to its clients. The company has illuminated major global events, including the Qingdao SCO Summit, the China International Import Expo, Milan Expo and the Hangzhou Asian Games.
