UN under-secretary-general highly values China's peacekeeping efforts
The "Blue Berets" formation showed up in China's V-Day parade, showing the country's commitment to peace. Over 35 years of participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations, Chinese peacekeeping troops have advanced unwaveringly along the path of peace, reaching frontlines and bringing hope to war-torn regions.
In a recent interview with China Daily, Melissa Fleming, the UN under-secretary-general for global communications, highlighted China's significant contributions to international peacekeeping operations. She said that China not only provides substantial funding, but also deploys peacekeeping troops, which is "incredibly valuable".
