The 2025 China Festival opened on Sept 6 at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, featuring East China's Zhejiang province as one of the highlights, local media reported.
The Meet Zhejiang exhibition area presented 12 display stands showcasing smart technology, intangible cultural heritage, Song Dynasty (960-1279)-style cuisine and cultural performances.
Provincial capital Hangzhou's contributions stood out with digital art experiences from The Complete Collection of Chinese Paintings, VR and AR programs, as well as interactive displays by local tech firms including Unitree Robotics and Deep Robotics.

Popular game Black Myth: Wukong, China's first 3A game developed and launched by Hangzhou-based Game Science last year, also drew strong interest from Japanese players.
The Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yueju Opera Troupe performed traditional opera, winning warm applause. Other cities including Ningbo, Jiaxing, Shaoxing and Taizhou offered handicrafts workshops, try-on sessions for hanfu or traditional Chinese clothing and food tastings.
Running for two days, the Meet Zhejiang event aims to showcase the province's poetic and picturesque charms and to deepen cultural exchanges between China and Japan.
