If you've ever imagined hailing a flying taxi or touring an expo in a self-driving car, then visit the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo — opening on Sept 25 in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province — can do just that in its Smart Mobility Zone.
This year, the zone is expanding to accommodate over 100 exhibitors across three sections — the low-altitude economy, green mobility and intelligent connectivity sections.
Highlights include electric vertical take-off aircraft, drones from leading Chinese makers and interactive experiences like a virtual flight simulator. On Sept 24, a drone-and-helicopter light show will illuminate the Qiantang River, Hangzhou's mother river located next to the expo venue.
Domestic and international automakers — including Tesla, NIO, XPeng and Li Auto — will show off their latest electric vehicles. Tesla will offer free public test rides of its advanced driver-assistance system — its first open demo at a national-level expo in Zhejiang.
Alongside the tech showcase, expert forums will release the 2025 Low-Altitude Economy Development Report, underscoring Hangzhou's role as a national pilot city for the integration of AI and the low-altitude economy.
