The city of Hangzhou — capital of East China's Zhejiang province — is gearing up for the upcoming eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn holiday with gusto.
There will be over 200 cultural and tourism events, 41 concerts and more than 40 million yuan ($5.62 million) worth of shopping vouchers issued.
Themed activities across the city's 13 districts and counties cover autumn highlights such as osmanthus flower-viewing tours, great tech exhibitions, wellness and lifestyle experiences, sports events and night-time river rides.
Notable offerings include osmanthus flower sightseeing bus routes and AI robot shows at Wensan digital life street.
Tourism and sports vouchers worth over 40 million yuan will be distributed via Alipay, Fliggy, Ctrip and Meituan platforms — with discounts of up to 67 percent on hotels and 30 percent on shows.
From September to November, top Chinese and international artists such as Zhang Jie, Li Yuchun, Wang Sulong and Katy Perry will perform in Hangzhou. Concertgoers will also receive coupons for local theaters and performance venues.
Visitors can enjoy more offers through the Hangzhou 66 Card — offering free entry to 30 attractions, including Xixi Wetland and the M511 Light and Shadow Carnival, plus metro discounts and luggage delivery services.
To ensure a totally smooth holiday experience, Hangzhou has expanded its smart tourism services — including AI-powered travel assistance, digital luggage deliveries between metro stations and the airport and beefed up market regulation.
