Introduction:
Located in southern Serbia, Nis is the country's third-largest city and the economic and cultural center of the region. With a history spanning more than two millennia, Nis is known as the birthplace of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great and serves as a vital transportation and industrial hub linking Central and Southeastern Europe.
In September 2018, Hangzhou and Nis signed a cooperation agreement, marking the start of exchanges in digital economy and smart manufacturing. In January 2023, Zhejiang Yusei Holdings established its first automotive parts plant in Nis, symbolizing deepening economic collaboration between the two cities. On May 9, 2025, Hangzhou and Nis signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation, marking the start of a new chapter in their partnership.
