Hangzhou International Airport has rolled out a new WeChat mini-program, Zheli Diandan (meaning "Order in Zhejiang"), allowing passengers to order meals directly to their boarding gates at Terminal 4, airport authorities announced on Feb 6.
Currently in trial operation within domestic and international departure areas, after security checkpoints, the service integrates 14 dining brands and offers more than 400 food and beverage options, from Chinese and Western dishes to light meals and specialty drinks. Passengers can order from any participating outlet within their zone for a seamless "tap to order, dine on the go" experience.
To ease long queues during peak hours, the mini-program provides two options: "Order Ahead, Dine In", enabling passengers to pick up their meals at a reserved time, and "Gate Express Delivery", where staff deliver orders directly to passengers or to smart pickup lockers near boarding gates in about 30 minutes.
Passengers can access the service via the official Hangzhou International Airport WeChat account or by searching "Zheli Diandan" on WeChat. The program is a public-service initiative with no extra delivery fee, with merchants handling distribution supported by airport shuttle tools to ensure fast delivery, even to the farthest gates, within minutes.
