As inbound travel surges ahead of the Spring Festival, more international visitors are choosing to spend the Chinese New Year in China, bringing a wave of holiday arrivals to Hangzhou.

At Hangzhou International Airport, a dedicated multilingual service team from the Hangzhou Immigration Inspection Station is working around the clock, offering friendly assistance and leaving many foreign travelers impressed.

Composed of dozens of officers fluent in languages including English, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Portuguese and Arabic, the team helps streamline clearance procedures and offers support to travelers unfamiliar with entry requirements. During peak hours, officers guide passengers through the pre-inspection process, assist with digital arrival cards and provide real-time language support, ensuring smooth and efficient border crossing.

Veteran officer Yan Jing, who has served at the station for 15 years, said this year's holiday season has seen a noticeable rise in foreign visitors eager to experience the Chinese New Year.

In addition to facilitating entry, the team also showcases Chinese culture. A traditional culture corner at the checkpoint invites visitors to try writing Spring Festival couplets, offering a traditional festive experience.

Officers say their mission extends beyond border security — by providing professional, friendly services, they hope every traveler leaves with memories of a confident, welcoming China.
