The Spatial Intelligence Zone of the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo will be upgraded this year, organizers announced at a promotional event held on April 22 at the Wulin Star Exhibition Center.
Jointly developed by the Hangzhou Convention & Exhibition Group and Frankfurt Exhibition Group, the zone — first launched at last year's expo — will expand in both scale and level of international participation, featuring more leading global companies and advanced digital solutions.
This year's exhibition will focus on four key areas: smart construction, intelligent buildings, smart commerce, and urban space governance, under the concept of integrated digital spatial systems. Organizers said the zone will nearly double in size compared to last year.
A highlight of the event was the return of an Indonesian procurement delegation. Representatives from Jakarta's smart city authority said they are seeking cooperation in energy efficiency, smart transportation, urban data systems, and green building materials.
The delegation emphasized Indonesia's ongoing smart city transformation and expressed interest in leveraging China's experience in digitalization and low-carbon urban development.
At the event, Chinese and international organizations signed cooperation agreements covering standards alignment, green certification, and digital service exports. Multiple matchmaking sessions also resulted in active business discussions and cooperation intentions between participating companies.
Organizers said the upgraded zone aims to strengthen global collaboration in spatial intelligence and accelerate the commercialization of smart city technologies.
